Lane Nakashima, AIF®

Financial Advisor - Kahului, Maui

Lane was born in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Hawaii with his parents in 1970. Lane's background includes 25 years in the financial services industry. He attended the University of Hawaii, where he attained a degree in business administration with a major in accounting. He served in the accounting profession in both the public and private sectors before entering the financial services industry. His financial services career started in 1987 with PaineWebber in Honolulu, and he transferred to the Maui office in 1990. Lane holds a general securities registration, a branch office manager's license, and insurance licenses in life and health and is registered to do business in several states. He has also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation from fi360. He has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility. Lane is married to Irene, who also works at Commonwealth. They have five daughters and five granddaughters. In his spare time, Lane enjoys reading, golf, and traveling. You can also find him taking on challenging home repair projects and perfecting the art of making a good pizza.

Brandon E. Luke, MBA

Financial Advisor - Kahului, Maui

Brandon was born on the island of Maui, where he attended St. Anthony's High School before continuing his education at Chaminade University in Honolulu. He holds a BA in business administration, as well as a master's degree in business administration. Brandon has worked in the area of financial services for several years and holds a general securities registration license through Commonwealth Financial Network®. In his free time, Brandon enjoys going to the beach and working in the garden. An avid cook, Brandon loves to cook for his family and close friends.

Irene Nakashima

Administrative Manager - Kahului, Maui

Irene was born in Tokyo, Japan. She lived in Germany, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Georgia prior to moving to Honolulu. Irene started her career in the financial services industry in 1986. She was the operations manager of a competing firm on Maui when she met Lane in 1991. They did a "merger and acquisition" in November of 1991 and have worked together since 1992. Irene also has her general securities registration license in addition to insurance licenses for the state of Hawaii. Irene enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

David Y. Omura

Financial Advisor - Hilo, Hawaii

David was born in Tripler Army Hospital because his father was a career Air Force enlisted personnel for over 20 years, traveling between Japan and Hawaii. David and his wife, Judy Ann, have been married for 46 years. They have two children, Grant and Joanna. David had spent 11 years as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Pfizer Laboratories after acquiring his bachelor's degree in chemistry. While seeking his MBA, David switched direction and entered the investment advisory industry by starting with PaineWebber. He is a jack of all trades; from carpentry to auto repair, David fixes everything around his home. His current passion is taking care of Judy Ann, who suffers from the disabilities of myotonic dystrophy, a hereditary form of muscular dystrophy.

Grant K. Omura

Financial Advisor - Hilo, Hawaii

Grant is the son of David Omura. He lived with his family on Oahu until 1991 when he moved to the Big Island. Grant worked for video game retailer GameStop for 15 years before joining his father at Commonwealth. During that time, he managed multiple locations on the Big Island, training and developing the future talent of Hawaii. He focused on customer and community relations, brand awareness, and training leadership/management skills, which he brings with him to this industry. He is working toward becoming a licensed broker under his father. During his free time, Grant likes to hang out with friends, go hiking, play video games, and attend annual pop culture or technology conventions. He is a foodie and passionate about exploring what the culinary world has to offer—he goes to culinary events whenever he can.
